The Career Placement and Counseling Center (CPCC) has been operating since May 2004 within the Armenian State Agrarian University to develop and implement a sustained mechanism that allows students and graduates of ASAU to effectively identify job opportunities and obtain employment. The Project is funded by the Eurasia Foundation, USDA MAP (active in Armenia in 1992-2005), and Cafesjian Family Foundation.
The main activities of CPCC include development and periodical updating of the database of students, graduates and business companies throughout Armenia; and the presentation of seminars and workshops on resume and cover letter writing, interviewing techniques, labor rights, and leadership development skills.
CPCC actively participates in annual Education Fairs organized by the RA Ministry of Education, EXPO Service, and Logos Expo Center. In 2005, CPCC activities were recognized successful and innovative at an “Education in CIS Countries” exhibition in Moscow. In addition, since 2005, the Center organizes its own annual Career Fairs, where employers meet potential employees.
Over the first 3 years of its activities, over 200 graduates have found jobs through the direct support by CPCC.
