The Mission of the ICARE Agribusiness Research Group

Being a viable component of the ICARE our mission is to support rural industries, agribusinesses and Government of Armenia in their understanding and realizing of the potential for agribusiness and sustainable agricultural development, marketing and trade, as well as efficient use of environmental and natural resources.

The Agribusiness Research Group solicits and conducts research on relevant agriculture/agribusiness and related topics and promotes research on relevant Armenian agribusinesses and rural areas at national and international meetings. The research projects implemented by the Agribusiness Research Group were funded by USDA Marketing Assistance Project in Armenia (USDA MAP, 1992-2005), INTAS, Swiss National Science Foundation and Swiss College of Agriculture, DAI ASME, Center for Agribusiness and Rural Development (CARD), USDA FAS, Federation of Agricultural Associations, The World Bank and its Project Implementation Units and others.

Agribusiness Research Group has qualified researchers, experienced survey and data collection team and professional data analysts. Many studies conducted by the Group covered all regions of Armenia.
