Research on Cooperative and Social Enterprises in Transition Contexts - RECOSET

RECOSET is financed by the European Commission in the context of the International Research Stuff Exchange Scheme (IRSES) of the Seventh Framework Programme. General goal of the Project is to stimulate the creation of a network among research centres that are committed to study cooperative and social enterprises in EU/AC and TC (transition countries). RECOSET supports the exchange of staff members and researchers (both early-stage and experienced) devoted to study the rationale and potential of these institutions. As for TCs, the main goal is to give researchers the opportunity to benefit from the theoretical and empirical knowledge that has been so far accumulated by the EU/AC research centres involved. 

RECOSET specific aims are: 

1) advancing the research skills of researchers from EU/AC and TC; 

2) supporting the gathering of statistical data and literature on cooperative and social enterprises in Ukraine, Armenia, and Belarus;

3) favouring a more in-depth understanding of the role, potential, and impact of cooperative and social enterprises in Belarus, Armenia, and Ukraine; 

4) favouring the transfer of knowledge so far accumulated by European research centres on cooperative and social enterprises through the dissemination of the main research findings accomplished by EMES, EURICSE, the University of Trento, and the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade – Institute for Sociological Research (UBFP-ISR); 

 5) strengthening networking relations among EU/AC and TC research centres, given the goal of developing new joint activities.
